2019 Top Bites and Drinks

Here’s my list of the most delicious bites and drinks I had the privilege to enjoy this year.

20

Lavander Martini at Dr. Limon, Miami. Sin palabras…aromaticamente sabroso.

19

Cafe Con Leche. The Salty Doughnuts, Miami. An amazing, creamy, tasty coffee, and with a great aroma too.

18

Giovanni’s Arancinis, Miami. These were delicious fried balls of goat cheese, melting in your mouth, and served on top of a reduction of red wine, guava paste, and balsamic vinegar.

17

Stuffed Mushrooms. Vegana Roma, Miami. This delicious and juicy mushroom was my TOP 1 food at the past Seed Feed Festival.

16

Bagels St-Viateur Bagel Shop, Canada. We tried four different flavors and I liked them all, plus we saw how they were making them from scratch.

15

Pita with vegan dip. 27 Restaurant, Miami. The combination of flavors of this vegan dip was outrageous. With Ethiopian tahini to give that extra touch of WOW.

14

Langos. Taste Hungary. I absolutely loved the langos I got to taste at the Culinary Walk from the people Taste Hungary in Budapest. This fluffy and freshly fried bread was so delicious, with a mouthwatering white cream on top that was seasoned with garlic and other species and covered with shredded cheese, this was a good way to start this amazing Culinary Walk.

13

Ice Cream Doughnut Dessert Wars, Miami. This doughnut was filled with ice cream and then they fried it. Que rico!!!

12

Pastel de Nata. Versailles at the Lisbon Airport. This pastry was so good, creamy, and crispy on the outside, that I had it twice from this place. One of the best I got to try in Lisbon!

11

Vegan Tacos. Plant, Miami. Ufff I can’t believe that this does not have any meat and yet it was so tasty. A must-try for sure, plus this place is gorgeous.

10

The Green Lantern Drink. Pina Bar, Budapest. The sophisticated way Pina’s bartender made this drink, was outstanding. But then we tasted it and it was sensational. He puts so much flavor that it was incredible and what I liked the most is that it was mainly alcohol with no ice…this is what I call a drink!

9

Coffee Smuz, Budapest. This is not just the prettiest coffee I have seen but also, delicious to the MAX!!! It was creamy and with a red velvet flavor. Definitely a must.

8

Pastel de Bacalhau. Casa Portuguesa do Pastel de Bacalhau, Lisbon. I gave myself a gift of eating this exquisite codfish pastry in the pretty city of Lisbon. As I was eating it, I was surprised to find in the middle, melted Serra de Estrela cheese and the taste was phenomenal. I had this delicacy with a Porto wine glass that made my experience even better.

7

Steak. Juan Andres Carne de Res, Colombia. Esa carne que nos comimos ahi era extremadamente jugosa y super suave. Que rico!

6

Syrian Ice Cream. Bouza, Canada. The BEST Ice cream and I hope I can have it again because it was THE BEST.

5

Hummus Trio. Laborrejo, Miami. Yo se de Hummus y esto estaba espectacular, ya lo probastes?

4

Variety of sweets at Marina Bay Convention Center, Singapore. This diversity of dessert was simply exquisite, so much flavor in one plate.

Ice Cream. Gelartosa, Budapest. My eyes and palate were so happy to taste this scrumptious cranberry and pumpkin spice ice cream at Gelartosa, where they shape every single one of them into superb flowers. Lovely and Delicious!

2

Arabic Food at Beroya in Canada. Best Arabic food in Canada so far!! You have to try their kabab bi karaz and to die for desserts.

AND the TOP 1 is…

Higos y Almendras. Chef Armand Berger at Flipany’s Miami Event. There are not enough adjectives to describe this delectable dish.
